Before I go to sleep – S.J. Watson ✶✶✶✶

before i go to sleep

Before I go to sleep is an excellent story inviting you into Christine’s life, Christine wakes up each morning not knowing who she is, where she is, what day it is and not knowing who the people around her are! They say memories define who we are, but what if we did not have any memories like Christine? With help off her neuropsychologist Dr Nash, Christine aims to gain control of her life again when she suspects something is not quiet right and finds herself in a scary situation. With the help of a video recorder will Christine be able to figure out what went wrong? And what hidden secrets her husband Ben is keeping from her?

Before I got to sleep is another wonderful book that has been adapted into a film, so as I always say read the book first then watch the film! I rated this book four stars as it can become repetitive which is understandable due to the story. I found Before I go to sleep hard to get into at first, but once I got past that part I enjoyed the book right until the end. I found towards the end of the book that I raced to find out what would happen to Christine and the outcome as a whole. This book is a very gripping read full of suspense and falls under the genre’s of thriller and mystery perfect for some readers! If you have not read this book already I suggest you do and see what you think, It is a one of a kind story that you will never forget, I have not read a story like this before and it did not disappoint. I wouldn’t say it was an easy read for myself but worth the while, as I was glad I read the book as I had to figure out the plot.
