Missing Presumed – Susie Steiner ✶✶✶✶✶

Mid-December, and Cambridgeshire is blanketed with snow. Detective Sergeant Manon Bradshaw tries to sleep after yet another soul-destroying Internet date – the low murmuring of her police radio her only solace.

Over the airwaves come reports of a missing woman – door ajar, keys and phone left behind, a spatter of blood on the kitchen floor. Manon knows the first 72 hours are critical: you find her, or you look for a body. And as soon as she sees a picture of Edith Hind, a Cambridge post-graduate from a well-connected family, she knows this case will be big.

Is Edith alive or dead? Was her ‘complex love life’ at the heart of her disappearance, as a senior officer tells the increasingly hungry press? And when a body is found, is it the end or only the beginning?

Missing Presumed! If you’ve not heard about this story yet… Where have you been? This is the first story in the DS Manon series, with more to be released and I am excited. I loved it. Although its a thick book with just over 400 pages I devoured it. The story is written well, easy to read and contains short chapters. I didn’t want to put this book down and I must admit the ending and outcome was shocking and beautiful. This is a must read if you haven’t read it already. A well deserved five star from me. I was hooked! The perfect detective story to read this winter under the cover.

Missing Presumed is the perfect story for readers who enjoy a brilliant mystery, detective and suspense story throughout! Enjoy, I did.
