Blurb:
Kate Lewis is thirty-five and feeling restless. She’s fed up of worrying about the ironing and would like her husband Jeffrey to pay more attention to her than his golf clubs. There must be more to life than this!
Kate enrols herself on a T’ai Chi course and takes best friend Sonia along for the ride. She’s determined to ‘find herself’ but it’s easier said than done, especially when she finds the distracting Ben Mahler first . .
My Review:
I just randomly picked this one of my shelves out of the hundreds of choices. If you know me you will already know that Carole Matthews has to be one of my favourite authors and I am working my way through all her books! Now this was one of her earlier books back in 2006 and I must admit it is not one of her best books but I still enjoyed it nevertheless. I awarded four stars. I loved the story as I am sure many people hit middle age, panic and then think surely there must be more to life than this (NOTE THE TITLE). It is written well, easy to read and contains short chapters. I fell in love with all the characters! Sometimes you do just need to shake your life up a little (No, I’m not promoting what does happen in this book but hey… IT WORKED FOR THEM). I would highly recommend this book to you all if you haven’t read it already. Carole never disappointments me. Enjoy.
