Hush Little Baby – Joanna Barnard ★★★★

Blurb; When baby Oliver breaks his arm, no-one can (or will) say how it happened.

His mother is exhausted.

His father is angry.

His older sister is resentful.

And they all have something to hide…

My Review; Hush Little Baby caught my eye because of the cover. Many mysteries and thrillers these days do involve babies and children and this was no exception. As a parent myself I love/hate reading these kinds of stories. They make you hold your child a bit tighter but at the same time they have you hooked until all the answers are out in the open. This story highlights how quickly your child can be taken away from you, which is personally my worst nightmare.

From the beginning of this story you are judging each Character in the book, who hurt baby Oliver? Who do you believe? The story is told through Martha, Sally and Richard. I must admit I did not expect the outcome at all. A shocker. I managed to devour this story within a day which I very rarely can do these days. I awarded four stars, well written and easy to read. Would recommend.
