Blurb; Henning Juul sits in a boat on a dark lake. A man with a gun sits opposite him. At the man’s feet is a body that will be soon be dumped into the water. Henning knows that the same fate awaits him. And he knows that it’s his own fault. Who started the fire that killed Henning’s young son? How is his sister, Trine, involved? Most importantly, who can be trusted? Packed with tension and unexpected twists, Killed is the long-waited finale of the internationally renowned series featuring conflicted, disillusioned but always dogged crime reporter Henning Juul, and one of the most chilling, dark and moving crime thrillers you may ever read.
My Review; I am bloody gutted! Killed is book number five in the Henning Juul series and is the final chapter for Henning, translated by Kari Dickson… Now, Imagine me reading this before all the others! Damn. But, in my defence I did go and buy all the previous four so I can catch up and enjoy this brilliant series and it did read well as a standalone. Phew. Confession over…
WHAT A BLOODY BRILLIANT BOOK! Wow. Amazing. Gripping. Thrilling. Cleverly written. Blew me away. That prologue will have you hooked. The whole story had me hooked. Fast paced, easy to read. You literally won’t want to put this book down. I devoured Killed within 24 hours. A brilliant story to end the series with I have no doubt. A well deserved five stars, I cannot wait to go back to book one and devour this series. Thomas could well be a new favourite author of mine. Extremely impressed and would highly recommend. However, probably best to read them in order first, dont be like me.
