Blurb; You’re hiding a secret that only she can see.
Her name is Beth. She came into my life when I needed her the most. We lead very different lives, but she’s the only person who understands me.
She was the only other witness to the terrible accident on the street between our homes. The only person who saw the cracks in my perfect life before I had the chance to cover them up.
It’s been so long since I’ve had a friend. Someone to talk to, to listen to, to laugh and dream with.
Beth would never do anything to hurt me.
She only wants what’s best for me, for my marriage.
My Review; Oh wow. I devoured most of this story in a day. I couldn’t put it down, didn’t want to. I loved the relationship/friendship Beth and Isla found with each other. Seems like they both needed a friend at the time too which was perfect!
I felt really sorry for Islas character throughout. However, it is a big highlighter for readers as it unfortunately does happen to alot of women more often than we like to think about! I hated Jakes character from the start, there was just something odd and off about him.
The prologue really grabs the readers attention and draws them in. It is a page turner of a read, fast paced and brilliantly written. Towards the end it does turn dark and disburting. Woah! This story just got real and fast. Jaw dropping. Impressive.
The ending actually is a cliffhanger open to the readers imagination… I would have loved to have had more from this story. Highly recommend. A brilliant author I am enjoying. A well deserved four stars from me.
