Evil Games – Angela Marsons ★★★★★

Blurb; The greater the Evil, the more deadly the game…

When a rapist is found mutilated in a brutal attack, Detective Kim Stone and her team are called in to bring a swift resolution. But, as more vengeful killings come to light, it soon becomes clear that there is someone far more sinister at work.

With the investigation quickly gathering momentum, Kim finds herself exposed to great danger and in the sights of a lethal individual undertaking their own twisted experiment.

Up against a sociopath who seems to know her every weakness, for Detective Stone, each move she makes could be deadly. As the body count starts to mount, Kim will have to dig deeper than ever before to stop the killing. And this time – it’s personal.

My Review; WOW! What a great start this series has been and book two is another gem of a story I sunk my teeth into recently as part of a buddy read. Absolutely loved it. I am seriously loving and enjoying this series so much, I already can’t wait to dive into book three.

Alex’s character in this story has to be one of the worst, devious, twisted, manipulating and dark characters I have read about lately. There are not enough words to describe her character. I absolutely hated her from the start with a passion. We do get a brilliant, in depth look into Alexs character throughout.

Yet again Kim is hot on the case and proves how clever she really is, that woman blows me away! Always one step ahead, always right. We get another more in depth look into Kims past and it is absolutely heartbreaking. She truelly is a strong woman and a hero in my eyes.

A well deserved five stars. Highly recommend this series so far. Brilliantly written stories. Outstanding. A must read and buy series so far.

Check out my buddy reading partner Kate’s review. We are working through the series together and starting book 3 shortly;
