Sleep – C.L. Taylor ★★★★★

Blurb; All Anna wants is to be able to sleep. But crushing insomnia, terrifying night terrors and memories of that terrible night are making it impossible. If only she didn’t feel so guilty…

To escape her past, Anna takes a job at a hotel on the remote Scottish island of Rum, but when seven guests join her, what started as a retreat from the world turns into a deadly nightmare.

Each of the guests have a secret but one of them is lying – about who they are and why they’re on the island. There’s a murderer staying in the Bay View hotel. And they’ve set their sights on Anna.

Seven strangers. Seven secrets. One deadly lie.

Someone’s going to sleep and never wake up…

My Review; I have loved and enjoyed every single book by this author so far, she never disappoints me. I literally devoured this in two days. It’s one of those books you don’t want to put down. It also has you guessing and trying to figure out who the killer is… I failed… Never saw that coming in a million years. Jaw dropper. Shocking.

Sleep is a page turner of a read. Brilliantly written and contains short chapters. The story is told through the different characters, but the main character is Anna. Now I really felt sorry for Anna. It all began with a car accident and she hasn’t had a break from life since then… Poor thing. She needed a break and time away. Cue her going to Rum a scottish island. But even then she didn’t get away…

A must read from me. Thrilling. Tense. Full of suspense. Edge of your seat read. I even think this may be going into my top twenty of 2020 and we are still in January! It’s brilliant. You will love it. A well deserved five stars from me. Highly recommend. I’m looking forward to reading Callys new book Strangers due out this year.
