*BLOG TOUR* Three Rivers – David Blake ★★★★

Blurb; A body caught on the end of a mast, another skewered by a rhond hook, and a chain of evidence Tanner cannot accept.

As a twisting gale howls its way over Barton Broad, DS Jenny Evans joins a handsome old friend to help rescue the crew of an overturned boat. But when they discover a body, snagged on the end of the mast, one murder soon follows another, leaving DI John Tanner with a race against time, desperate to prove that the most obvious suspect isn’t who everyone seems to think it is.

Set within the mysterious beauty of the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a dark cozy murder mystery with a slice of humour and a touch of romance, one that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.

My Review; This is book four in the DI Tanner series, best read in order. I have been with this series from the start and it has just got better and better. I’m thrilled to know there is more to come too. Again brilliantly written, short chapters and fast paced. I devoured it. I enjoyed it. I loved it.

It was brilliant to be back with the team, especially Tanner and Jenny. This has to be their hardest case yet and one of their own is being framed for it all. It even had me doubting if they would actually do it! Torn between ehat they should do and who’s the suspect the case turns deadly and the stakes are high. Time is running out. I was screaming inside at this book! But alas… The ending was perfection just what I needed. A shocker of an outcome. A gripping, mysterious and clever case.

I would highly recommend this whole series. A well deserved four stars from me. I cannot wait for book five already. Exciting. I was lost into their world while reading this, didn’t want to put it down. Page turner of a read.
