Aria’s Travelling Book Shop – Rebecca Raisin ★★★★★

Blurb; This summer will change everything!

Aria Summers knows what she wants.

A life on the road with best friend Rosie and her beloved camper-van-cum-book-shop, and definitely, definitely, no romance.

But when Aria finds herself falling – after one too many glasses of wine, from a karaoke stage – into the arms of Jonathan, a part of her comes back to life for the first time in years.

Since her beloved husband died Aria has sworn off love, unless it’s the kind you can find in the pages of a book. One love of her life is quite enough.

And so Aria tries to forget Jonathan and sets off for a summer to remember in France. But could this trip change Aria’s life forever…?

My Review; I’ve always been a huge fan of Rebeccas writing, this is her most recent book published. I mean what’s better than reading about a bibliophile, books and a whole adventure ahead for both?

The story focuses on Aria, widowed, huge book worm and shes off to france with her mobile bookshop. After the death of her husband she vows to never love again. A diary from her husband emerges and she decides to savour a little bit each day throughout this story. While on her travels she keeps bumping into author Johnathan. Is this a sign to start again? To fall in love? A perfect match? Author and bibliophile? …

In a way it’s a story about dealing with grief and coming through that. It’s a new start, feel good, beautiful and uplifting story. Perfection. It was a world I didn’t want to leave. It had me smiling the whole way through and parts made had me laughing out loud. I seriously couldn’t put it down, I had finished it within hours. It has a beautiful ending. The travelling community sticks together and we see a lot of Rosie too (Arias bestie).

I love it that much it’s going into my top twenty reads of the year. A well deserved five stars and I cannot recommend it enough. I’ve gone straight into the book before it (Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop) which gives me the advantage of already knowing the characters but also what happened before and I’m back in their world. I love it. Hooked. Can I also mention how beautitul the cover is. Well worth the read.
