Blurb; Everyone has secrets. They know yours…
In the 21st century information is king. But computers can be hacked, files can be broken into. So a unique government initiative has been borne. Five ordinary people have been selected to become the latest weapon in thwarting cyber terrorism. A revolutionary medical procedure has turned them into the ultimate secret keepers – the country’s most secretive information has been taken offline and turned into genetic code implanted inside their heads.
Together, the five know every secret – the truth behind every Government lie, conspiracy theory and cover up. Only somebody has discovered who the secret keepers are. And one by one, they are being hunted down…
My Review; If you remember last month I really struggled with my reading so I needed someone or some book to get me out of my slump. Cue John Marrs and me treating myself to his latest and greatest. I messaged John about my reading slump and he said challenge accepted. He was right. This is the book that got me out of my month long slump.
From the start I was intrigued and interested to know what all these minders were about. It’s different from all those normal thrillers and mysteries, john like to think out of the box and go futuristic (is that a word?). It stands out. It’s a real page turner of a read and I loved the lay out of it all. It’s told through each of the minders and included reports from the government. I loved it all! Gripping, thrilling and fast paced! I flew through it.
Would highly recommend. A well deserved five stars from me. This is going into my top twenty reads of the year.
Nice concept. Already begs questions – can they access the information themselves? Do the hunters want the information? How do they retrieve it (cue a slideshow of gruesome ‘operations’)? Colour me intrigued.
