Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment – James Patterson ★★★★★

Blurb; Six unforgettable kids — with no families, no homes — are running for their lives. Max Ride and her best friends have the ability to fly. And that’s just the beginning of their amazing powers. But they don’t know where they come from, who’s hunting them, why they are different from all other humans… and if they’re meant to save mankind — or destroy it.

My Review; Book one of the maximum ride series. After reading book 10 I was already familiar with the characters however in this book they are extremely young with the youngest being 6 and the eldest Max being 14. A huge difference from book 10.

It was a great start to this series that explains how they came about, came together as a family/flock and escaped. This story is mostly about them surviving and searching for answers as to where they came from and about their parents. Even in book one you can see Max is the lead character of the flock, the mother. I love her for it. But she faces a lot of fights and challenges ahead of her against the erasers (their enemy).

Absolutely loved it all fell in love with Angels character the youngest member of the flock at 6 years old. I just love the whole flock & how they stick together and always have a plan regardless of no home. No biological family. Sometimes it hard but they have each other.

Another brilliant 5 star read. Highly recommend. Perfect YA, fantasy read. I’m on to book 2 now. Love this series.
