Resigned, James and his spoilt, pampered girlfriend, Fliss, Percy’s sister, travel across France on a mission that promises to free James from the criminals for good. But James isn’t convinced he can trust Fliss, so he makes his own plans to start a new life. Will James be able to get away, or will his past catch up with him? Will Charlotte’s secrets turn the legacy into a curse?

My Review; This was a short read and I have read this author before and enjoyed her stories. This was another great read for me. All over a will, a legacy, money. Even after death people will fight over your money remember that. In this case the woman who left the money behind played a very clever game with it. She did what she thought best for all and she was right.

I understood both sides of this story. But boy did James’s character get on my nerves. Entitled. Demanding. He got himself into the position he was in. It all ends in a huge secret coming undone. Shocking. Didnt see it coming. A read some may be able to relate too. A well deserved four stars from me. One I will remember. Short but perfect. Gripping. Fast paced. Suspense. Highly recommend.
