My Review; This is a beautiful story that focuses on a spiritual journey as well as a promise to his wife after she passed away. The story flicks to past memories of his son & wife and the present on his journey to seek answers about their deaths especially his sons. We see a huge range of emotions throughout this story. He even puts himself into some tricky situations and dangerous ones too.
He crosses paths with many people, each with their own story or problems. What becomes apparent is noone can escape death or unlucky times. We all have a story to tell and this is his story even if he has many regrets. It is brilliantly written. Parts really made me think about it all and others were upsetting. But it’s a gorgeous read. Eye opening. One determined man. One long journey ahead. Will he get answers? Will he reach his destination? I will admit it took me a while to get into but I am so glad I persevered. Highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me.
