Blurb; It’s bad enough having a mum dippy enough to name you Owl, but when you’ve got a dad you’ve never met, a best friend who needs you more than ever, and a new boy at school giving you weird looks, there’s not a lot of room for much else.
So when Owl starts seeing strange frost patterns on her skin, she’s tempted to just burrow down under the duvet and forget all about it. Could her strange new powers be linked to her mysterious father? And what will happen when she enters the magical world of winter for the first time?
My Review; I have read books by this author before and loved them so had to carry on with her other books. Now this was a different read for me. Young Adult, fantasy. But also a little wierd. The main character is named owl half human half Fay. Her dad is Jack frost… Wierd right? But it’s a wintery read, magical in parts but also strange coming and going between different worlds.
It’s an easy, chilly and frosty read. A unique read. One I won’t forget just a bit strange but it was a good story with a happy ending for all. I look forward to reading her other books. A well deserved four stars from me. Stunning cover.
