My Review; This is series 28 book 1. But a good place to start I think. Read fine as a Standalone. An easy children’s read at just over 100 pages. Illustrated throughout. Fantasy/adventure/magic. The story focuses on two main characters Tom and Elenna who are on a quest to save four young adventures/warriors. This is just the story of saving one of those four so I guess we will be saving the other three in future books. It is full of magic, portals, fighting and teamwork. There is a great relationship and teamwork between Tom and Elenna against the evil wizard Malvel. Fab read. I devoured it in one sitting. Highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me.
