My Review; This is book 2 in series 28 following on from the previous one I read and reviewed the other day. Tom and Elenna are rescuing apprentice number two of four who was taken in book one. In this chapter they face a huge alligator under the spell of evil Malvel. And both the main characters find themselves facing death in this story with Tom at one point in the alligators mouth. Very tense, edge of your seat read this time but they managed to survived and rescue the second apprentice. A magical, fantasy and adventurous read. Perfect for all young boy readers. A fab little series so far at just over 100 pages in each book. A well deserved four stars. Highly recommend. Black and white illustrations throughout.
