My Review; It’s been a while since I read this series or author and reading this one made me realise just how much I missed it and loved it. This is a shortish read which I devoured 70% of in one night and loved it all. In this book we meet main character Clara who is part of a very dysfunctional family and she is very protective over her little brother Bertie. I loved them both. Clara hasn’t had the easiest of upbrings but in this story we see her blossom and bloom and find what she likes and wants to do. Bring in an old time friend and crush Rory is this her chance to rekindle that friendship and maybe hope for more? Or is that wishful thinking all these years later. This story includes some of our favourite characters from the duck pond cafe and the famous village green which I can still imagine picture perfect. Fabulous read. Enjoyed every page. A well deserved four stars from me. It is part of a series but reads perfectly as a standalone.
