*BLOG TOUR* The Dinner in the Sky – Anne John-Ligali ★★★★

Blurb; After a shocking confrontation with an unexpected encounter, Constance tries to piece her life back together and is on a mission to finally move on.

The thought of having her friends nearby is a comfort as they take time out of their busy online lives and regularly meet up at their favourite place, A Cupful of Dreams Café. Everyone seems happy enough until cracks begin to show and all is not as good as it seems. Constance tries desperately to keep positive as there’s so much to look forward to: shopping for posh frocks, dinner at The Shard and a movie premiere.

As things start to look rosy, a few odd tweets begin to pop up from nowhere. At first, they seem innocent, but as the weeks go by and premier night draws near, not only do the tweets increase but they become more obnoxious.

By the time Constance and her chums arrive on the red carpet, she’s determined to work out who the troll could be and to keep them from spoiling her evening. However, as Constance soon learns, the troll wants to destroy far more than that!

Breathtaking views of London.

Posh frocks and Paparazzi

But there’s definitely trouble in the air …

My Review; Happy publication day. I have been with this Friendships Online series from the start, they started off as short stories and have got longer and longer with each book. It shows the author has grown in confidence to me and each one is better than the last! It’s a brilliant series which must be read in order to understand it fully and the characters. Brilliantly written.

I really enjoyed reading this one. It had a lot more going on within the story than the previous books. I fell in love with little Charlie. Constance is a brilliant character and mother to Charlie but has a lot to face and decide. Who will she pick? Maxwell or Julio? A race against the clock, fairytale ending. The perfect ending for me.

A well deserved four stars from me. Highly recommend.

*BLOG TOUR* The Weekend Spa Break – Anne John-Ligali ★★★★

Blurb; After finally meeting in person at the publishing party of the season, Constance and Estelle are determined not to let their friendship return to mere virtual champagne bottles and uploaded pictures of food.
It’s been a busy year, and Constance feels it’s time to reward herself with the spa break Estelle gave her for Christmas. Naturally, Constance wouldn’t dream of taking anyone other than Estelle, and this will provide the perfect opportunity to bond with her new chum.
As the excited pair spend some quality time together, they realise it’s not just writing books they have in common, but something that goes much deeper. After a few Jacuzzi sessions, facials, pedicures, and a massage by sexy Senior Therapist, Julio, everything seems to be peachy until an unexpected visitor turns Constance’s weekend of bliss … on its head.

A two-day spa break.

Sparkling water on tap.

And the perfect massage.

But who’s rubbing who up the wrong way?

My Review; Happy Publication Day! The Weekend Spa Break is part two of the Friendships online series and is best read in order, read The Big Event first! Brilliant to be back with familiar characters and in a relaxed setting of a spa! Fancy.

This is the perfect bite sized chick-lit story for readers who love short stories. I loved seeing Constance’s and Estelle’s relationship grow within the spa break! There is still the message highlighting how social media can affect families and friends within this story, which I agree with.

This story is easy to read and can be finished within an hour! I enjoyed reading this one and love the cover. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

*BLOG TOUR* The Big Event – Anne John-Ligali ★★★★★

Blurb; You are cordially invited to the party of the season where you’ll meet Constance and friends in action.

Constance Jeffries is excited when she gets the chance to meet up with virtual friends at a get-together in a London hotel. She’s been tweeting and messaging her lovely friends for years and feels they must be just as excited to finally meet her in person too. Or so she hopes.

The Big Event is first part in a short story series about the importance of ‘real’ friendships and how it’s the little things that matter the most.

A Gorgeous Venue, A Room Full of Friends, What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

My Review; What a brilliant part one to this short story series. A very easy read, written well and catchy story with a deep hidden meaning. Part one focuses on social media and online friendships and how people who you think you know well online can be entirely different in real life. It is an eye opener of a short snappy story which highlights in this century how much everyone relies and focuses on social media over social face to face interaction, which is a sad thought really.

I awarded five stars as it was the perfect short story and having nothing to fault with this story. Except, I would have liked to have got to know the character Constance better but I suppose I will in The Weekend Spa Break (part 2) which will be released in 2018. I am looking forward to part 2. I would highly recommend you take five minutes out of your day to read this short story.
