Chris Merritt is a British author whose crime thrillers combine psychology, suspense, and characters you care about.

All his novels are set in London, where he lives. He began writing fiction in 2014, after previous careers as a diplomat, based in Iraq and Jerusalem, and later as a psychologist working with victims and perpetrators of crime. He specialised in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which sparked his interest in telling stories about how people cope when faced with extreme adversity.

Now, he spends most of his time writing novels and drinking coffee while *thinking* about writing novels. When he’s not writing, he loves climbing and playing basketball.

My Review; I have received a copy of this book in return for an honest review as part of the blog tour, all opinions are my own. I am not paid to read or review these books I do it to help authors, promote and tell you how I found the book personally.

Life or Death is book three in the Detective Zac Boateng series. Best read in order as contains references to the previous books before. This has to be the best one yet surely? Wow!

Poor Zac has had to face so much in this previous books I didn’t think it could get much worse, oh how wrong was I? Very. Absolutely brilliant. I felt for this guy all the way through, he never gives up, would do anything for his family (literally) and is determined with a plan and his team by his side.

A real page turner that just gets better the more you read. Had my heart racing especially towards the end as its gets brutal and dark! Loved it. The whole story line has to be one of the worst things to ever experience, I wouldn’t be able to cope if it happened to me. I dont want to give too much away as it really is a belter of a book, one you won’t regret buying and enjoy throughally.

Fast paced and cleverly written which keeps the reader hooked. Not the outcome I expected at all. A true shocker to the system. Highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me.

My Review; HAPPY PUBLICATION DAY! Eeee. OMG! Ahhh! Where do I start? I have a new favourite author. Chris sure knows how to write a belter of a book! After reading and loving Bring Her Back this was a must read for me without a doubt.

I was so impressed, gripped, hooked and immersed. I don’t have the words to describe how much I loved this book! Which is why I awarded five stars and would highly recommend to you all. Last Witness is brilliant, cleverly written and could possibly be heading into my top 20 of 2018 if theres a spare spot. I am loving this authors work and his book covers.

Thrilling, clever and an unexpected outcome I didn’t see coming… What’s not to love? I cannot wait for more by this author. Thank you for writing another fantastic book! A real page turner a book that won’t let you go until you’ve finished it.
