*BLOG BLITZ* Mortal Outcomes – Dave Stanton ★★★★

Blurb; Bounty hunter Dan Reno never thought he’d be the prey.

When a pair of accused rapists from a New Jersey-based gang surface in South Lake Tahoe, bounty hunter Dan Reno is called in. The first is easy to catch, but the second, a Satanist suspected of a string of murders, is an adversary, unlike any Reno, has faced before. After escaping Reno’s clutches, in the desert outside of Carson City, the target vanishes. That is until he makes it clear he intends to settle the score.

To make matters worse, the criminal takes an interest in a teenage boy and his talented sister, both friends of Reno’s.

Wading through a drug-dealing turf war and a deadly feud between mobsters running a local casino, Reno has to hunt a ghost-like adversary who is calling all the shots.

The more Reno learns more about his target, the more he’s convinced that mayhem is inevitable unless he can capture him quickly. He’d prefer it to be clean, without further bloodshed. But sometimes that isn’t possible, especially when Reno’s partner Cody Gibbons decides it’s time for payback.

My Review; Mortal Outcomes is book three in the Dan Reno series and another brilliant story! I have read all the stories in this series so far and I think it is a great series, I look forward to the next book! I would recommend you read this series in order as the story does make references to past books in the series.

Yet again an action packed thriller that you won’t want to put down. Mortal Outcomes has it all guns, money, murder, fights, drugs and blood! Dan has a new case that he wont give up on, I found we got to see a lot more of Cody’s character in this book and a bit of Dan’s personal life towards the end which gave it that extra touch! This story also brings a bit of dark religion into it satanism which made things interesting!

I enjoyed reading this story, it is a fast paced read but does contain some long chapters. I awarded four stars and would recommend this series to you all! A happy ending for all in this story. I look forward to see what dan is up to next time.

*BLOG BLITZ* Blind Luck – Dave Stanton ★★★★

Blurb; Jimmy Homestead’s glory days as a high school stud are a distant memory. His adulthood has mounted to little more than temporary jobs, petty crime and discount whiskey. But when he wins a $43 million lottery, everything changes.

Flush with money, everything is great for Jimmy, until people from his past start seeking payback over transgressions Jimmy thought were long forgotten.
Caught in the middle are private detective Dan Reno and his friend Cody Gibbons, two guys just trying to make a living.

Reno, fighting to save his home from foreclosure, thinks that’s his biggest problem. But his priorities change when Gibbons and Jimmy are kidnapped by a gang of cartel thugs. In a fight to save his friend’s life, Reno is drawn into a case that leaves dead bodies scattered all over northern Nevada.

But Can Reno save his friend?

My Review; DAN IS BACK! Blind Luck is book two in the Dan Reno series and can be read as a standalone but with all series’s are best read in order. Yet again I was immersed into Dan’s PI (Private Investigator) world.

Another action packed story. Blind Luck contains many fights, guns, whores, gambling, deaths, crashes, and even an explosion! Blind Luck will keep you on the edge of your seat and immersed throughout.

Poor Jimmy is the most wanted man ever after winning the lottery and everyone wants to get their hands on him and his money no matter what the costs, some will kill for it. I actually felt sorry for Jimmy as everyones just using him for his money… Dan always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time or maybe thats just how Dan will always be… A little trouble maker for the police among the investigations.

I awarded a well deserved four stars and I am enjoying this series and cannot wait to see what lies ahead for Dan in this series. Highly recommend this series so far, I am loving Dan’s character. Another well written, fast paced story to devour.

*BLOG BLITZ* Stateline – Dave Stanton. ★★★★

Blurb; Cancel the wedding–the groom is dead.

When a tycoon’s son is murdered the night before his wedding, the enraged and grief- stricken father offers investigator Dan Reno (that’s Reno, as in no problemo), a life-changing bounty to find the killer. Reno, nearly broke, figures he’s finally landed in the right place at the right time. It’s a nice thought, but when a band of crooked cops get involved, Reno finds himself not only earning every penny of his paycheck, but also fighting for his life.

Who committed the murder, and why? Which cops can he trust, if any? Haunted by his murdered father and a violent, hard drinking past, Reno wants no more blood on his hands. But a man’s got to make a living, and backing off is not in his DNA. Traversing the snowy alpine winter in the Sierras and the lonely deserts of Nevada, Reno must revert to his old ways to survive. Because the fat bounty won’t do him much good if he’s dead…

My Review; Happy Publication Day! Stateline is book number one in the Dan Reno series and I enjoyed it, a great start to the series. I found it an easy read but more of a crime/detective/investigation story than a thriller.

This story has it all! Fights, drugs, hookers, alcohol, crooked cops, gambling… You name it this book has it. It is action packed! However, I did find some of the chapters very long. I liked the PI (private investigator) Dan, he doesn’t mess around. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for Dan in this series. I awarded four stars and would recommend to you all. Keep your eyes peeled for book number 2 shortly called Blind Luck.
