*BLOG TOUR* My Little Brother – Diane Saxon ★★★★

Blurb; Two siblings, both missing for 20 years turn up within one day of each other. One dead. One alive.
It was an ordinary school day, the day I lost my little brother.
One moment he was on the roundabout and then was gone. Gone. Missing.
They all blamed me. I was in charge. Even though I was only ten years old.
They sent me away. The hurt, the shame, the questions. The not knowing.
I tried to move on.

It’s been nineteen years in exile and now somebody wants me back.
Someone with a dark secret. They hold the keys, they know the truth.
So, I need to return to the Welsh village of my childhood to find out who, because I have a secret, too…

I did something bad.

My review; I have loved previous books by this author so ofcourse I had to read this one and I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed it and loved it. It had me hooked from the first page till the last. Constantly kept me guessing and I never figured it out. What really happened to Lloyd? 20 years ago Caryns brother just vanished. Disappeared. While she was incharge of him aged 10. The story is told 20 years later when Caryn returns to her home town after receiving a note that someone has news about Lloyd. Will she be welcomed home? Accepted back into the family? Will she find out what really happened 20 years ago? It won’t be easy with someone trying to stop her. Gripping. Thrilling. Mysterious. Highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me.

*BLOG TOUR* What She Saw – Diane Saxon ★★★★

Blurb;

DS Jenna Morgan Book 3

A gripping new psychological thriller for 2020.

Detective Sergeant Jenna Morgan is called to investigate the suspected arson attack and death of the Lawrence family at the charred remains of their stunning home, Kimble Hall. The case takes a sinister turn as the body count fails to tally. Suspecting that someone may have survived the inferno, DS Morgan and her team need to discover whether they have a witness, or someone far more dangerous. Who set the fire? Who wanted this family extinguished beyond recognition? As the case progresses, DS Morgan realises she has a calculating, cold-blooded killer on her hands, and the race is on to track them down before they kill again.

My Review; This book has to have one of the best opening chapters I have read this year. Was not expecting it at all. Shocked me. Jaw dropping. It did its job and full on dragged me in questioning everything. Hooked. Drawn in. Gripped…

It is book three in a series which I only found after while writing this post (oops) but read really well as a standalone and I will be going back to the previous two books. Brilliantly written, a real page turner I didn’t and couldn’t put down. I wanted answers.

I felt sorry for Poppy! Poor girl. DS Jenna, I loved her. She wasn’t letting anything pass her by she wanted to know the truth and she wasn’t going to stop till she got it. A very determined and strong woman. I can’t recommend this book enough. One to add to your lists. Highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me.
