*BLOG TOUR* Perfect Stranger – Jake Cross ★★★★

Blurb; You’re living with a stranger. It’s your daughter.

Following a whirlwind romance, Rose and Chris’s marriage has been unshakeable for twenty years. But when Katie turns up on their doorstep, blonde, wide-eyed and beautiful, their perfect life threatens to crumble to pieces. Because Katie says she’s Chris’s long-lost daughter, the product of a forgotten summer fling.

Kind-hearted Rose invites Katie to stay, despite Chris’s protests. The poor girl has only just lost her mother – they can’t leave her out on the street. But soon after Katie moves in, strange things start happening. Someone crashes into a neighbour’s fence. An unexplained fire starts in the couple’s kitchen. And a family friend coming to visit disappears on the way to the house. Chris insists Katie has to go. But it’s Chris who won’t explain where he was at the time their friend went missing…

The couple’s dream life seems to be turning into a nightmare. With dark secrets about Chris’s history with Katie’s mother coming to light, Rose no longer knows who to trust. Soon, she isn’t sure whether she’s invited a dangerous stranger into her home, or whether she’s been living with one all along…

My Review; What another belter and roller coaster of a ride this book has been. Gripping, thrilling, chilling and an edge of your seat read.

The story focuses on a family Rose (Mum), Chris (Dad) and Julie (Their daughter). But then Katie arrives aka the perfect stranger bringing trouble their way, I was questioning her character throughout… Who really is she?

A well deserved four stars from me. Highly recommend. Loving Jake Cross’s stories. Throughally enjoyed it, I was hooked. A real page turner.

*BLOG BLITZ* The Choice – Jake Cross ★★★★

Blurb; You’ve got to help me,’ she pleads.
On a wet road in the black of night, Karl Seabury is driving home to his pregnant wife. Suddenly, caught in his headlights in the middle of the road is a woman shaking with fright.

The woman says her name is Liz Smith, that her home was attacked, and that she was the only one to escape.

In a split-second decision, Karl decides to help her to safety. But Liz is hiding a dark secret and now his good deed has put his family in terrible danger…

My Review; Wow. What a thrilling, fast paced story bound to get your heart pumping. The choice is brilliant! Makes the perfect thriller, it has it all. Dark intense scenes, chases, deaths, torture and the unexpected just around the corner.

I loved reading every moment of this! A brilliant start to a new series I cannot wait to read more from.. The choice is easy to read, contains short chapters and will have you hooked. You won’t want to put this story down. I also love the cover! This story is cleverly written and could easily happen to anyone, including you or me which makes it more real for the reader…

Poor Karl has got himself into a situation he should have stayed away from and dragged his pregnant wife into it too. Eeek. Not good! Will they get through this? Mick has to one of my most hated characters yet what a sick, twisted character. I despised him, he thinks hes so clever. Grr. The Choice has plenty of twists and unexpected turns to keep the reader hooked until the last page.

I awarded a well deserved four stars and would highly recommend this story to you all! I look forward to book number two in the series!
