Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?

Rowling & Steve Kloves. Special features include behind-the-scenes content and commentary from David Yates, David Heyman, Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne, Colleen Atwood, and more.

My Review: I was so excited to see this on the shelves in tesco and I devoured it in a night. A brilliant read. An easy read, written in screenplay format. Contains some beautiful illustrations throughout of the characters and places within the story. It was amazing to be back in the wizard magical world. Now I can watch the film to compare. A well deserved four stars.

The Christmas Pig – J.K. Rowling ★★★★

Blurb; A heartwarming, page-turning adventure about one child’s love for his most treasured thing, and how far he will go to find it. A tale for the whole family to fall in love with, from one of the world’s greatest storytellers.

One boy and his toy are about to change everything…

Jack loves his childhood toy, Dur Pig. DP has always been there for him, through good and bad. Until one Christmas Eve something terrible happens — DP is lost. But Christmas Eve is a night for miracles and lost causes, a night when all things can come to life… even toys. And Jack’s newest toy — the Christmas Pig (DP’s replacement) — has a daring plan: Together they’ll embark on a magical journey to seek something lost, and to save the best friend Jack has ever known…

My Review; This is one I got for Christmas. I will never be to old for J.K Rowling or children’s books. I absolutely loved this. Very similar to toy story with objects down in the land of lost coming to life. Set my imagination on fire. Beautiful illustrations throughout. Short chapters. Easy reading. A story about a boy trying to find his lost pig. Heartbreaking in parts. But he’s a strong determined character and learns a few lessons along the way. Highly recommend! A well deserved four stars.

Fantastic Beasts; The Crimes of Grindelwald – J.K. Rowling ★★★★★

Blurb; At the end of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald was captured in New York with the help of Newt Scamander. But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escapes custody and sets about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore enlists Newt, his former Hogwarts student, who agrees to help once again, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

This second original screenplay from J.K. Rowling, illustrated with stunning line art from MinaLima, expands on earlier events that helped shaped the wizarding world, with some surprising nods to the Harry Potter stories that will delight fans of both the books and films.

My Review; The second instalment of Fantastic Beasts. Another brilliant, easy read. These books are so beautiful with the design layout and how the story is told in the play format. I felt this book had much more in it than the first and can’t wait to compare it to the film already.

Since I was a little girl I have always loved J.K. Rowling, the magic and the books. This didn’t let me down either and I am eagerly awaiting the final installment of Fantastic Beasts. I was lost into the wizarding world yet again. A story that can easily be devoured in one sitting. I absolutely love Newt, his crazy creatures and his adventures. Magical.

A book most have probably read already! But if not definately one to get or add to your list. Loved it. Highly recommend! A well deserved five stars.
