*BLOG TOUR* The Introvert Bears Filthy Witness – Michael Paul Michaud ★★★★

Blurb; Newly estranged from Donna, The Introvert is selected as one of twelve jurors on a notorious murder trial, forcing him to navigate a litany of uncomfortable social interactions, this time with no avenue of escape. Equal parts harrowing and hilarious, The Introvert Bears Filthy Witness is the third entry in the life of one very anti-social and unexpected anti-hero.

My Review; This is book three in The Introvert series all shortish stories around 200 pages I have enjoyed the full series so far. Different, unique. The main character is definitely one you can’t forget. He’s funny, clever and has a secret dark side. Another story I really enjoyed.

In this story the Introvert finds himself on dury duty and soon clashes with another juror but it’s him we are talking about here and there’s more to the story that just him doing his jury duty and the trial. A very clever, cunning and planned out ending which I didn’t expect but realise I wanted. I would recommend this little series and am I already looking forward to the next one. There’s just something about his character which I love. Wierd I know. But he’s interesting, different. A great read! Easily devoured.

A well deserved four stars from me.

*BLOG TOUR* The Introvert Confounds Innocence – Michael Paul Michaud ★★★★

Blurb; THE INTROVERT CONFOUNDS INNOCENCE continues the story of the eponymous anti-hero introduced in THE INTROVERT.

With his life disrupted by an unscrupulous work colleague and a bully at his son Toby’s school, things go from bad to worse when his neighbor’s abusive boyfriend goes missing, plunging the introvert into the center of a murder investigation.

Increasingly hounded by a meddlesome detective, and with his thoughts continually urging him to make people “red and open” and to “achieve it” with his girlfriend Donna, what follows is a sometimes brutal, oftentimes hilarious, and absurdist account of the life of one very anti-social and unexpected anti-hero.

My Review; This is book two in the introvert series, reads well as a standalone but makes references to the first book! This was just as wierd and wonderful as the first book. I loved it. This book is set a couple of years after book one and we can see the changes to the introverts life throughout this story.

Brilliant read, another short one which can easily be devoured. We still didn’t find out the introverts name in this story… Suspense! This story contains two major problems that still affect everyone today… Bullying and domestic violence.

The introvert has its readers backing him and secretly loving his character… Well I do. A well deserved four stars from me. Highly recommend and I’ve seen there’s a book three coming so I can’t wait to see what lies ahead!

*BLOG TOUR* The Introvert – Michael Paul Michaud ★★★★

Blurb; A vacuum salesman by day, the introvert lives a quiet life alone with his dog until a work relationship and a dark secret from his past team up to create an uncomfortable imbalance in his otherwise ordered life, one that soon finds him squarely at the center of a murder investigation. With his thoughts continually urging him to make people “red and open” and to “achieve it” with his girlfriend Donna, what follows is a sometimes brutal, oftentimes hilarious, and absurdist account of the life of one very anti-social and unexpected anti-hero.

My Review; This is a brilliant short story at roughly 160 pages. Not what I was expecting at all. A few words to describe this story would be funny (in parts), wierd and twisted.

It took me a while to understand the main character of this story as he has a very unique personality I have never come accross before. We also never learn of his name… I wierdly liked the main character, I actually liked him even after everything that happened. Strange?

Brilliantly written, he’s quite a clever character really when you think about it. Doesn’t talk much but when he does he makes sure what he says is correct and punctual. A cute little ending to round off the story.. I enjoyed it. A good read. Something different.

I can’t wait to read what he gets up to in the sequal! A well deserved four stars from me. Highly recommend. Perfect for a quick read.
