Blurb; The first thing you should know, dear reader, is that I am dead…
Teacher Pippa wants a second chance. Recently divorced and unhappy at work, she uproots her life and moves to the countryside, determined to make a fresh start. But Pippa soon realises: your troubles are never far behind.
When Pippa meets blue-eyed Ryan Marks, he is funny and charming. He is haunted by his past – but insists he is a changed man.
He might just be the answer to all of her problems. And Pippa can tell the truth from lies. She’d know if she were in danger. Wouldn’t she?
My Review; I love the cover of this story and how the story is told through audio extracts, blog posts and then the chapters themselves. I absolutely loved this story and enjoyed every minute of it.
I must say that I felt Pippa brought it all on herself. She’s a fearless character, likes the thrill of the unexpected, feeling scared and revels in the attention she does get. She’s also a lonely person… But the further into the story I got I started to feel sorry for her, she becomes truelly helpless… I must also say that I never did like Ryan from the start a very shifty, unsure character.
I love how the ending explained the whole story for the reader as it does mess with your head. Like woah. Wait a minute. This is brilliant. Well and truelly hooked. A well deserved five stars from myself. Highly recommend.

A big thank you to TBC and the author for letting me review this amazing story. As soon as I started this story I was hooked. I understood how Shona felt as being a mother myself I could relate and that cottage felt like home to me. But I didn’t know it was all the calm before the storm… Perfect family? Think again… This story is about to flip upside down and get nasty and personal. I loved it. I cannot express how much I enjoyed this story. It made the perfect weekend read for me (my Saturday night was booked). I would highly recommend this story to you all! Its an easy to read story which will keep you hooked throughout and towards the end you will not be able to put it down! This is the perfect story for readers who enjoy a fantastic thriller, mystery, suspense, drama and contemporary filled two sided story. It will be finished before you know it. It will not disappoint you at all. Give it a try.
