*BLOG TOUR* The Dead Wife – Sue Fortin ★★★★

Blurb; SINCLAIR WIFE DEAD! HUSBAND CLEARED!

Police have ruled out suspicious circumstances in the investigation into the death of Elizabeth Sinclair, wife of charismatic entrepreneur Harry Sinclair, found drowned in the lake of the family’s holiday park.

It’s been two years since the Sinclair case closed but when reporter Steph Durham receives a tipoff that could give her the scoop of the year, she’s drawn deeper and deeper into the secretive Sinclair family.

Elizabeth’s death wasn’t a tragic accident. And the truth will come at a deadly price…

My Review; I have read and enjoyed a couple of Sue’s books before this one, so I knew I was in for a treat and it was a must read for me really. I was not disappointed Sue has wrote another belter of a book here which I easily devoured in two days.

It is a well written story which is told in the present through Steph who has come accross the sinclair family and Elizabeths death and she aims to find out the truth about Elizabeths death. It is also told through Elizabeth in the past before her death, so we get to see what was really going on and both sides to the story. Interesting. Intriguing. It kept me turning the pages and judging all the characters.

Gripping. A page turner of a page which keep your guessing as to what really happened. Secrets and lies will be uncovered to find the truth two years later… I enjoyed reading this one, I zoomed through, fast paced! Highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me.

Schoolgirl Missing – Sue Fortin ★★★★

Blurb; Her step-mum has a secret.
Her father in lying.

Everyone is watching.

Who do you believe?

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GIRL?

When fourteen-year-old Poppy vanishes on a family boating trip, suspicion soon turns close to home – to the two people who should do everything to keep her safe, her parents, Kit and Neve. Can they really be responsible for their little girl’s disappearance?

Neve loves Poppy like her own daughter, but the truth is, she isn’t. And her very existence means Neve will never have a precious child to call her own. But would Neve harm her step-daughter simply to get her own way? In times like this Neve has always turned to her sister Megan to help. Megan will know what to do…

Kit would do anything to keep his family safe and happy. But his refusal to have another child has been causing a strain on his marriage. And he’s worried Neve’s mental state is growing increasingly unstable. But would he harm his own daughter just to prove he is in control?

As the frantic search for Poppy grows, Kit and Neve’s marriage is close to breaking point. And only one person can get what they want.

My Review; I have been wanting to read this book for a while and the cover definitely caught my attention. It is a story full of twists, turns and definitely unexpected, shocking outcomes. I would never have guessed at all. Very cruel and devious. Full of secrets, lies and deceit.

An easy to read, fast paced thriller and mystery. Kit and Neve are as bad as each other! I actually loved Jake and Lucies characters. Jake didn’t deserve what happened to him. A real page turner of a read… I found myself getting very angry towards the end and outcome I just don’t understand how someone could do that to Poppy for their own sake… Poor Poppy my heart was with her the whole time.

I awarded four stars and would highly recommend.

The Girl Who Lied – Sue Fortin ✶✶✶✶✶

girl-who-lied

The truth hurts…
Erin and Roisin were once friends until a fatal accident ruined both their lives. Now, Roisin has discovered a secret—one Erin has kept for over a decade—and she’s determined to make Erin pay for her lies. Erin wants nothing to do with Roisin. She has a new life in London and no intention of going back home. Yet when her father is mysteriously and critically injured, Erin has no choice but to return and face Roisin—and her past. Erin knows if the secret of what she gave up got out, the consequences could be devastating.

When Roisin suddenly disappears, suspicion soon lands on Erin. She would do anything to protect her family, but just how far is she willing to go when time is running out…?

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me a copy in exchange for an honest review. This is another I pre-ordered as I’m a sucker for a great cover and it caught my eye. Absolutely loved this story, it had the perfect setting and characters. The Girl Who Lied is written well, contains short chapters and is easy to read (devour). Remember when we was all younger and we all had our childish secrets? Well our secrets are nothing compared to what Erin’s secrets were in this spectacular story. Sue Fortin knows how to keep the reader hooked throughout and finishes with a lovely ending. I would highly recommend this story to you all if you haven’t read it already. Sue will be bringing a new book out soon (The Cuckoo) and I already cannot wait! I know it will be just as great as this story if not better. This is one story you will NOT want to put down. Enjoy, I did. Loved it. Will not forget this story in a hurry.

The Girl Who Lied is perfect for readers who enjoy a fantastic thriller, mystery and suspense filled spectacular story. Well deserves the five stars I have awarded.
