Blurb; When child psychologist Imogen Reid takes on the case of 11-year-old Ellie Atkinson, she refuses to listen to warnings that the girl is dangerous.
Ellie was the only survivor of a fire that killed her family. Imogen is convinced she’s just a sad and angry child struggling to cope with her loss.
But Ellie’s foster parents and teachers are starting to fear her. When she gets upset, bad things seem to happen. And as Imogen gets closer to Ellie, she may be putting herself in danger…
My Review; The Foster Child had me intrigued and interested from the prologue. The story is told through two main characters Ellie and Imogen. I felt sorry for Ellie maybe she is a misunderstood child OR is she really a powerful child… Do you believe in co-incidences?
This story contains short chapters and is easy to read, I found it a very creepy story. A real page turner which will keep you guessing and hooked till the last page. This is the first book I have read by Jenny and its gripping, brilliant! I will definately be reading more by Jenny in the future. I would highly recommend The Foster Child to you all which is why I’ve awarded five stars. Loved it. I devoured it in a day.
