The Murder at the Vicarage – Agathe Christie ★★★★

Blurb; ‘Anyone who murdered Colonel Protheroe,’ declared the parson, brandishing a carving knife above a joint of roast beef, ‘would be doing the world at large a favour!’ It was a careless remark for a man of the cloth. And one which was to come back and haunt the clergyman just a few hours later – when the colonel was found shot dead in the clergyman’s study. But as Miss Marple soon discovers, the whole village seems to have had a motive to kill Colonel Protheroe.

My Review; This is my first Agathe Christie book and boy have I fallen in love. I need to stock up on all these. These are perfect cosy crimes. Small town. I finally got to meet the marvelous Miss Marple. I love her. I loved it all. I’m very impressed. Why has it taken me so long to pick these up? She has written loads so might take me a while to get through but I’m going to try.

The writing style is beautiful. I loved most of the characters and the cute little town. It’s a real who did it page turner which I devoured in a day. Miss marple just complete the whole case at the end which I found amazing. Clever woman. I’m looking forward to reading more by Agathe I’m so excited to have found her books and luckily my library stocks a lot of them.

Would highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me. I know I’m probably late to these but bloody loved it! I hope the others are just as good. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.
