The Witch’s Kiss – Katherine & Elizabeth Corr ✶✶✶✶

witchs kiss.jpg

Sixteeen-year-old Meredith is fed-up with her feuding family and feeling invisible at school – not to mention the witch magic that shoots out of her fingernails when she’s stressed. Then sweet, sensitive Jack comes into her life and she falls for him hard. The only problem is that he is periodically possessed by a destructive centuries-old curse. Meredith has lost her heart, but will she also lose her life? Or in true fairytale tradition, can true love’s kiss save the day?

I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of an extract of this story thanks to Netgalley. I decided to request this story as the cover is gorgeous and it would be perfect to read for Halloween. However, then I noticed it was only 90 pages long (An extract of the exact book)! It is written well and easy to read but hard to review off just 90 pages. I got into the story but felt the ending just cut off! I must mention that this is the first in a series but not one I will continue reading… I enjoyed it but I needed more and I wasn’t wowed away. But brilliant for readers who enjoy the young adult genre. Enjoy. I just wish I could have read the whole book instead of just an extract but based on what I got to read these are my personal views. Note – I won’t be reviewing anymore extracts! Just the full books from now on.
