Blurb; A victim on display. A detective on the rails.
Shopping with her sister, DI Amy Winter is admiring a Valentine’s Day window display of a perfect bride encrusted in diamonds and resplendent in lace—until she notices blood oozing from the mannequin’s mouth.
My Review; Left for Dead is book three in the DI Amy Winter series. Best read in order as it does make references to the previous books. It’s been a while since I read one by Caroline and I forgot just how good she is. This book has it all! There is always something happening to keep the reader flicking the pages.
Amys gut feeling is back but is she right? When bodies start turning up in the most public of places the team know they have to act fast. They are up against a clever, determined and twisted killer. As in the previous books we get to see the personal side of Amys life and it isn’t pleasant, she has a lot to deal with lately… But that won’t stop her.
A gripping, dark, twisted, disturbing, deep, haunting, hallowing case. Full of suspense, a real page turner and an edge of your seat your seat read! It’s brilliant. I cannot wait to see what the rest of this series brings us. A well deserved four stars from me. Highly recommend.
