*BLOG TOUR* St Benets – David Blake ★★★★★

Blurb; A girl thrown from a church tower, a man sacrificed to Satan, and a priest murdered at the hands of the Devil.

When the body of an old man is found lying in the ruins of St Benet’s Abbey, his throat cut, a knife resting in his open hand, DI John Tanner and DC Jenny Evans are given no choice but to accept a ruling of death by misadventure.

But when the body goes missing from its tomb, after a priest is found nailed to a cross, and another impaled on a stake, everything begins to point back to the murder of a teenage girl, thrown from the top of a church tower, some forty-three years before.

My Review; This is a series that is just getting better and better. I mean that. Starting this one brought the first book flooding back to me especially with the explosive ending… St Benets is book two in the DI Tanner series and I recommend reading them in order not because of small spoilers if any in this book but because you will get a feel for the characters and the team.

In St Benets (book two) I found there was a lot more going on in this story compared to the first. We have several different cases in this story aswell as the personal side to John and Jennys lives… But do all the cases here link together or not? A real page turner. Brilliant. Easy to devour. I didn’t want to put it down, I wanted answers and was backing John aka DI Tanner the whole time. I love how he lives on a little boat, different. Well written, fast paced and had me trying to guess the outcome the whole time.

I have high hopes for this series and want more and hope there is more to come. A well deserved five stars. Highly recommend. Throughally enjoyed it.
